Tomorrow, Dean (the best man in the world)and I will fly down to Florida for some rest and relaxation and to visit my Aunt and Uncle. I have fond memories of driving down with my parents when I was in high school for spring break. I haven’t seen my uncle in about 10 years, so that should be interesting, and neither of them have met good ole’ Deano. We have had a crazy summer, and sitting on the beach will be alot of fun. I am also anxious to do a little mini-golfing as I know there are some kick-ass mini-golfs along the shore! And maybe having some good drinks along the way. I don’t drink much, but will willingly have a few good ones if they are available.
Sounds wonderful, right? But let me tell you about the stressfulness of traveling with the Dean. He, well, likes to take his time with EVERYTHING! This includes packing…… We need to leave this apartment to get to the airport at about 4:30am and he will probably be up and packing until about 2:30am. He likes to procrastinate and he sure is indecisive about what to bring. After lots and lots of trips with him (including a massive 6-month, pack everything you own, we are moving to New Zealand trip) I understand my role in his packing process. Stay in the other room, get comfortable and when he asked me a question, just say yes or no, regardless of what the question actually is. And the number one role rule……..don’t tell him to hurry up! That will just slow it all down and he will become angry and frustrated.
But all in all, we can’t wait to get on the plane and head off……..
Until the next packing horror when we go to the Dominican Republic for four days and he can only bring a carry-on!
